Hey guys, hope you guys are having a nice cozy weekend. Sunday morning we are going to do some fun paintings. Actually, I am re-doing painting home decor for my room wall. I like to create my custom painting. It is a little bit of my unique or personality. Or it is just like each room has real special painting. The first time paint watercolor painting for the kitchen makeover. There are three paintings in my bedroom. The paintings are more abstract and look more original. So I will show you the newest painting to make for my bathroom. Lots of colors and plenty of rich colors are in the painting.
So today I am gonna show some tips and skills on how to make painting turn very easy and how to create or how to re-create. You can totally do that. I have a bit of new ideas on acrylic painting and watercolor painting. My painting in my house is very large, especially the painting above my bed. But I am only showing you the technique on smaller painting, canvas painting board or watercolor.
First I will gain inspiration from Pinterest. I will search for palette or specific kinds of painting, like abstract painting, line painting, or specific style of design, like modern painting mid-century modern painting, indigo blue painting, rust painting or red painting. Once I have got the painting which I like, I will take it as a guide to start my process of creating, but please notice that it does not copy anyone. Because all artists are awesome, and your painting is a little different, because the painting is made by handmade, you can just add your color, or just make painting more like me. So we got the inspiration not to copy. I always find a piece of wonderful painting at my home. I can create another idea to gain inspiration, go for a walk in the natural and building or watch some artworks do not be as art but can also motivate you to create the stuff of painting. Finally, inspiration can also come from doing it and taking out a canvas, taking out some acrylic paint that you like. Just follow your heart without a plan. Because more than often, you are gonna come up with something incredibly unique. Incredibly special to you. I have done many paintings like that. So pretty of painting it is. I took a canvas that it is a canvas frame and I painted it in acrylic paint. I got two pieces, one for each of the pictures and I did the watercolor on those sheets of paper. I love this kind of original acrylic paint. There is a little bit of warped. I like it actually. I think it adds a bit of dimensionality to this piece of painting. Let’s start. From the lighter, more washed out colors to the deeper and highlight colors. I hope that painting will be darker, you do not need too much. First I am gonna squeeze out watercolors. I am going to wet the specific area painting of starting work. I am going to use this like a more flat edge brush and I am going to dip it in our clean water, and then wet a part of painting rather than like crazy wet. I will start at burned sepia, lightly touch the wet area on painting of the edge, it will kind of start to spread out. We want this one to be light. I am gonna go back to using clean water and our flat brush will do this a little bit again. We are going to do another color this time, let’s do some green on painting. If you think painting is too coloring, you can grab some more water and a little bit like mixing. You just only need to do the same thing all the way down, and just alternating colors adding larger patches of the same color to give it some change until the painting fade background which you want. We are going back to making it more colored, so we will take less water to do this point. You can even take it mix more water, making some painting edges become a bit dark. The last step is kind of sprayed some color on the painting, just like some dots. So I am going to take a smaller brush, dip it in a little bit of water and pick some colors I want. You just knock on the brush to make dots, and then make the effect of like mist spray to the painting.
Your duplicate painting is another new watercolor & ink painting. I think this painting tries to do what I want to do. A little bit of like circles painting, rather than like we paint another line painting. So we will use the same way to paint a circle on painting with a flat brush. A kind of strange circle I do not want, like a perfect circle. I want the three circles to have a bit of overlap and work together.If you want to layer those circles, you can also wait for other circles to dry, so that they will not mix a lot. I think I might do it because I hope it is more like the top of painting and more defined. You can also use the hair dryer to dry the painting, so that you can keep moving. So I only want to do a bit of some abstract shape stuff on painting. Like more circles, maybe like a squiggle through part of it. It is going to hand paint painting. I think the most important thing is I am gonna bring a bit of white and kind of effect with dots the same as above.
This is one piece of painting from my bedroom. There is actually a partner painting, so they are complementing, but there is a bit of difference. So we need to copy painting. Because it is a little more complicated, and then there’s also a large huge painting with a large black square. I want to show you how to create personality framed. It looks basically framed. This black border around the edge framing canvases or frames in general could be pretty expensive. So the only color I use is Mars black here. When I do any kind of acrylic painting, I will paint the whole painting into white, only for priming your painting, making sure that it is ready for painting. Now I still need to paint some primer. That they are all ready to go for our next projects. The painting will be roughly painted, you are not looking for perfection painting. You only want to write it and make sure it is dry. Because we are going to use tape, I am gonna show you how to create frames. You can do frame first. If you do last, you can make sure the painting of edge is perfect, like framed. Actually, I will paint the edge with my hand first. You will use some painters tape, any kind of tape that you have, that’s easy to remove how big you want your painting border. I am gonna cut via tape at the end to be completely straight, making sure that you are putting your tape straight and you are just gonna keep going all the way until you mark out all the painting of border. Now we are going to paint the border into Mars black. We also get all the painting of edge, so it looks like an overall frame. Taking off tape, revealing a pretty new border. So to replicate this painting, we are going to use more combination of black acrylic pigment and light yellow. We are going to paint this kind of color stripe at the painting of top, the painting of bottom is also the same. So we are gonna add some abstract shapes to the next step, like circles, and then lines. So that I can really get a kind of explicit line. But I still hope it has a bit of original rather than perfect like that. So do not worry that one of these is perfect. Another side line I hope the ending place of line does not think too much. Just paint on the canvas, like the mini size painting. So we need to do the next one above my bed. There are two kinds of colors, so I create frames by doing the same thing, but this time it is not black on frame. The painting of frame is actually brighter, more like beige. It does not use any tape. Now we are going to use a larger kind of black canvas.We use a little wider brush and black acrylic. We will create very rough painting of edge paint strokes. So we are gonna crisscross them as well. Once we pass through this way, you will keep doing that across the entire painting criss crossing them. So make it look like an original painting.
The next one that we do is replicate the painting in the bathroom. This is really funny, because the painting has lots of different colors. But it is still very abstract, so those are acrylic. I used the black, rust and green color to start with the red burnt starting with more flat brush for more coverage all along the bottom. Making sure you also can get those sides as well. I am gonna take the beige acrylic as a side stripe. And then, I will use the grey-white acrylic paint and keep painting another white box here. So that it is going to create a nice basic for the black and other little colors. And using the same width of brush, I just keep washing it in between. We are gonna paint the whole section using black to create small stuff like abstract painting. I need to outline the section first. So I am gonna take a bit of smaller brushes. We are going to do the orange acrylic paint that creates this little pink painting that’s gonna go along the left-hand painting side, just gonna mark where I want the top of it to be and then just fill it all the way down the final color. We are going to use green. I am going to do a thickly white painting frame, so since we have already painted painting into white. So I am gonna use more thick blue acrylic paint to paste the edge. Just as a guide, I am going to paint the whole inside. I think it just likes the light kind of beige color, so before it turns to dry I will pull up the tape, and then it will have a beautiful painting frame. We need painting to turn dry, then that will be fine if we can paint on it. I am going to paint some strange shapes from a kind of small frame. I want to use the beige which is a little bit dark than this one basically created like a corner odd shaped little block or blob. So just kind of shaping out painting what we want it to look like first and then fill painting up with the kind of acrylic paint. It is not expensive at all, but it is a terracotta color really pretty.I think it will kind of be like a beautiful colored palette. I am going to add another like here. I really like those lines painting and inks painting which we paint on the watercolor. It looks pretty cool, I think. So I am going to start to create the weird shape in painting with a large brush like I did before.
